New Zealand Spinach, so be it named is in-fact more respected as Cook’s Cabbage. Captain Cook and his crew ate it to prevent scurvy in the 1700s!

Renowned for its growing abilities in warmer climates which it loves, it has a mild flavour of Spinach. New Zealand Spinach plants are drought-tolerant plants and tolerant poor soils well with growth habit of a trailing plant this Spinach requires a bit of space. Leaves are small triangular of succulent style throughout the season without bolting.

Planting Time     Early Spring to Early Autumn

Non-GMO, recognised as an Heirloom native to Far East parts of Australia, New Zealand and some Pacific Islands
